Katherine James is the award winning author of Can You See Anything Now? and A Prayer for Orion, both of which received multiple starred reviews and made many top ten lists.
She has an MFA from Columbia University where she received the Felipe P. De Alba fellowship and taught undergraduate fiction, and has continued to teach and lead workshops at various universities and retreats.
Her novel, Can You See Anything Now? won CT’s book of the year and was long listed for the Doris Bakwin Prize, and her short stories and essays have been published in a variety of journals and anthologies. Her short story Fishhook, was a finalist for a Narrative Spring Prize.
Presently she’s working on a novel about a mute girl growing up in the Vietnam era.
